Forget fancy new functions, Apple has to rebuild iOS from the ground

Nothing in the Apple World has the impact of the annual iPhone launch, but the company annually WWDC Developer conference is coming in the neighborhood.

Software and hardware are no longer synchronous
The success of Apple’s products is generally attributed to the remarkable possibility of the company to integrate software and hardware into a seamless experience.

The A18 Pro processor in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is incredibly powerful and builds on the success of Apple’s M-Series Computing Chips. The cameras used in the iPhone can take great photos and the camera control function is surprisingly useful. But a year after Apple’s large AI debut, many of the marked functions that were noticed within a year are considerably delayed.
The stability of iOS 18 was only partially improved a year later, even though it is on the fifth major launch study. Conversely, the action button and the dynamic island are two rare hardware functions in which the software completes the hardware experience, which proves that Apple can still deliver a fascinating package.
A look at history suggests that iOS needs a rebuilding
Apple’s current software -challenges feel familiar to, and that is because we have seen this story before. To find the answer to his own problems, Apple does not have to look beyond the most important rival, Samsung.
I have rated telephones for almost 20 years, and although the only Samsung user interface is one of the best user experiences on Android at the moment, this was not always the case. The Vision Pro and Vision OS show that Apple can still build a phenomenal integrated experience.
The answer for Apple is the same approach that Samsung reduced in 2018: a complete rebuilding. One user interface has needed years to develop, and the removed large parts of the old experience in favor of the functions needed for current and future smartphone form factors, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
For Apple to successfully launch new hardware and software form factors, such as the rally iPhone fold, the company has to rebuild iOS from the ground, not only re -design the existing codebase.
The Vision Pro and Vision OS show that Apple can still build a phenomenal integrated experience – now it just has to do the same for the iPhone.
