Oakes was seen behind the scenes in the Formula 2 And Formula 3 Paddocks in Imola, where he will continue to serve as director of Junior Team Hitech GP.

His younger brother William, a colleague boss at Hitech, was arrested on 1 May in Silverstone Park after he was found “in possession of a large amount of money”.
