She expressed her shame on Reddit’s Female Fashion Advice forum, which has more than 5 million members.

MAKE IT A MEAL

She wrote this in response to a post asking people to share their most recent wardrobe malfunction.

“I was at work and I had a bite to eat at my desk,” she said, writing under the name Aero5.

“Without knowing it, a single chocolate chip fell into my lap.

“When I moved, it squeezed between my thighs and melted EVERYWHERE.”

The clothing problem was difficult to hide, as her trousers were ‘white as snow’.

She confessed that she was desperately trying to change her outfit without anyone in her office noticing.

“It looked like I had dried menstrual blood between my thighs, it was bad,” she said.

“It was the middle of winter, so I put on my white coat and tried to pull it down enough to cover the worst of the stain as I quickly walked to the shop down the road.

Since it was the middle of winter, there were no white trousers to be found.

I had a huge wardrobe malfunction at a work event, it kept getting worse and I just wanted the ‘ground to swallow me up’

“I chose a black pair that was somehow too big and too small, and walked back to work.

“No less than three or four men from the office have commented on my wardrobe change. None of the women, how about that.”

The Redditor was so shocked by the accident that she didn’t take her white pants home to wash.

“I didn’t even try to save the pants, I threw them in the trash can in my office in a fit of rage,” she said.

“At the end of the day I was tired of explaining myself over and over again and I said, in a nutshell, ‘I had a fight with a cereal bar and I lost.’

“Cursed be my love for winter white!”

MINUS POINT OF THE JOKE

Hundreds of people gave the recognizable post a positive rating and among the respondents was someone who had a similar experience.

“I did that this summer, but I was sitting on a blueberry in light jeans!!” they said.

Tip to remove yellow sweat stains

Yellow armpit stains happen to everyone, whether people admit it or not. But help is available. To remove yellow stains from your clothes, experts recommend the following methods:

  • Baking soda paste: The benefits of The Laundry Café recommend mixing a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with a tablespoon of salt and ½ cup of baking soda. Apply it directly to the stain with a toothbrush, rub it in and let the mixture sit for at least an hour, then wash as usual.
  • Oxygen bleach: This method is just as useful for removing yellow stains. Mix one part oxygen-based bleach with one part ammonia in a non-metallic bowl. Wear gloves during this application. Rub it into the fabric with a toothbrush and let the solution sit for at least ten minutes before washing as normal.
  • Stain remover or detergent: Collar stains can be just as tough to remove as armpit stains. Pre-treat the area with a solvent-based stain remover or detergent. Rub the product into the collar with a toothbrush and let it sit for at least ten minutes before washing.

“I feel your pain. Luckily I was able to hide it pretty well with my work sweater/blanket, but it was still humiliating.

“There’s still a stain on my chair.”

Other comments in the Reddit thread came from people who were bothered by the inadvertent unraveling of buttons and holes in awkward places on their clothes.

Besides the fact that the clothing was more transparent than expected, one woman was embarrassed when her skirt got caught in her bag.

“It’s been a while, but I was on my way home on the train to the city and was carrying a backpack with my stuff and a skirt/top outfit,” she said.

“Long story short, I didn’t realize my skirt was stuck under my backpack until I was two blocks away from home… in the most populated part of town.”
