PALAKKAD: Four school students were killed after a truck hit them in Kalladikode of Palakkad district on Thursday evening. Several other students were injured. The girls attended a nearby high school and were walking home when the accident happened.The incident took place on the Palakkad-Kozhikode National Highway at Panayampadam near Kalladikode. A cement truck lost control and hit the students before overturning. The injured were taken to local hospitals.Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan described the Kalladikode incident as 'shocking' and 'tragic'.
