- Framer introduced four new functions
- Two functions are powered by Generative AI
- The company wants to simplify the creation of websites without removing the “magic”
Website builder Platform Framer has announced a new series of functions, now available for all users. The characteristics, some of which are powered by artificial intelligence (AI), are designed to “stimulate productivity, improve creativity and remove barriers between ideas and implementation”.
The new functions are called Wireframer, workshop, vector and advanced analytics. As the company explained in a press release shared with TechRadar Pro, Wireframer is a “Smart Layout Assistant” with which users can create custom web page structures via prompts. Workshop, the second AI-driven function, can build adapted components, while the style of the site keeps in mind (think of colors, fonts, layout and more).
Vector is a new set of graphic and icon drawing tools with which more users can start designing their site with Framer. Vectors can be animated and adjusted, exported and combined into pictogram packages.
Ideas in front and middle
Wireframer, workshop and vector are available for all users, without beta access required. However, the fourth position, Advanced Analytics, is only available for Enterprise customers. Advanced analysis enables users to measure the effectiveness of the site by setting statistics, performing tests “within a few minutes” and then generating extensive reports.
Framer believes that the new functions make it platform -friendly for both casual webbuilders and professional designers. According to Koen Bok, CEO and founder of Framer, the new functions were introduced after a thorough feedback from customers about “How AI can support productivity without removing the ‘magic’ of building a site.”
“We simplify the journey from concept to live site, so ideas can be central,” Bok added.
Most of the Best website -builders Round around, including Wix, Hostinger and Squarespace, have already introduced generative AI in a certain capacity. With the new technology, developers can “chat” with the platforms to make everything, from wire frames and sitemaps to full websites, including the content and the multimedia.
