English golf star Aaron Rai was centimeter away from hitting a fan in a frightening incident at the PGA championship On Friday.
The World No 29 took a shot from the Rough during his second round, with a couple of spectators gathered on the right.
A gigantic tree stood between Rai and his target and the Englishman tried to keep the ball low to prevent the overhanging branches.
Unfortunately he misled his shot, who flew dangerously close to one fan before he turns guns in the tree trunk and turns in the opposite direction.
Slow-Motion repetitions showed supporters who had been withdrawn into panic while the ball flew in their direction around the knee height.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the scary incident, which took place on the 16th hole near Quail Hollow.
Rai eventually made a double bogey to continue with a chaotic second round that already included five birdies and four other cases.
