But a clique of ‘internet queens’ is emerging after several women caused a media storm when their actions were captured on camera and shared en masse online.

Examples of this include the ‘Crazy Plane Lady’ who had a massive meltdown on a plane and the ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl who shared her best sex tips in an interview with a man on the street.

But despite the embarrassing nature of their viral fame, are they the ones having the last laugh?

But the young Nashville woman is cashing in on all the hype — selling more than $65,000 worth of merchandise — after teaming up with Jason Poteete, owner of Tennessee-based clothing company Fathead Threads.

The official $32.70 headpiece that reads “Hawk Tuah ’24, Spit on That Thang” sells for $43.70 with her original signature on the brim.

Welch gained worldwide fame after she was asked about her tip for “driving a man crazy in bed” during a Tim & Dee TV street video in Nashville that aired on June 19.

Enthusiastically and with great effort to imitate the sound, she said, “You’ve got to give them that hawk ‘tuah’.”

There have been hundreds of memes about it, talk of a Hollywood agent and a fan shouting the phrase as Bryson DeChambeau, the 2024 US Open golf champion, teed off at the LIV event in Nashville. Gymnast Olivia Dunne is also joining in on the craze.

She wrote “leave Miss Tuah out of this” after a GIF of Welch was in the comments when she posted bikini photos of herself with MLB star boyfriend Paul Skenes.
