- Garmin has unveiled the Garmin Venu X1, a surprising new premium smartwatch
- It costs a good $ 799.99 / £ 679.99 / AU $ 1,499
- The 2-inch square display is larger than the Apple Watch Ultra 2-but It is said that it takes up to eight days instead of the 36 hours of the Apple Watch
Surprise! Garmin has unveiled the Garmin Venu X1, a “Ultrathin” smartwatch with a huge 2-inch Amoled display and a maximum of eight days battery life.
The Garmin Venu X1 seems to be one Apple Watch Ultra 2 Competitor, with its huge square Amoled screen (larger than the 1.9-inch offer of Ultra) set to present full-color cards to ensure that you can easily navigate on adventures, tailor-made watches and what seems to be a redesigned interface.
With a loudspeaker and microphone array you can call on the sausage while you are connected to your phone and use simple speech assignments such as ‘Set a timer’ or ‘start a running activity’, even if you are offline.
It is also 32 GB of internal memory, presumably for music on the Kijk, and Garmin’s updated Elevate V5 heart rate sensor, the most recently used on the Garmin Forerunner 570 and 970. It has Garmin’s LED bag lamp on board, a titanium back and scratch-resistant sapphire glass coating of the display.
This is certainly a watch that is ready for the outdoors, while lifestyle elements such as those speech assignments and more letter sizes are recorded, making reports much easier to receive and navigate on that gigantic screen.
The Garmin Venu series has always focused on the line between a ‘real’ smartwatch extension for your phone and the classic special fitness companion of Garmin, and has done it admirable in the past: the Garmin Venu 3 was ranked ‘best for most people’ in our Best Garmin -Watches Frame for 2025. This new thinner Venu X1 seems to follow that assignment, with its square watch -face comparisons with Apple Like the venu sq for it.
As you would expect from a Premium GPS watch from Garmin, the Garmin Venu X1 is not cheap and costs $ 799.99 / £ 679.99 / AU $ 1,499. Maybe not entirely coincidental, this is exactly around the Apple Watch Ultra 2’s price point.
It is now available in two colors, black and moss, and contains Garmin’s 24mm Comfortfit nylon tire.
Maybe you like it too …
