The departure of Gary Lineker from the BBC leaves three names that lead the race to organize the coverage of the World Cup 2026.

Lineker, 64, was confronted with a huge recoil after he had re -posted a video who criticized Zionism and included an illustration of a rat.

In the past, presenter Logan has worked on World Cup and European Championships for the Beeb – alternating with Lineker.
Mark Chapman
Chapman Long Anchored Motd 2 Before the performance is accepted to share the role as a replacement of Lineker.
He has also presented the coverage of World Cup and euros for the BBC.
Kelly Cates
CATES – Daughter of Liverpool – Legend Sir Kenny Dalglish – will leave Sky Sports for the BBC When she takes over from Lineker.

Manish Bhasin
Bhasin came to the BBC for the first time in 2004 and worked on various shows, including Football Focus, the Football League Show and the late staircase.
He also organized Motd 2 in the absence of Chapman earlier and worked on the World Cup 2014 and 2016 euros.
