Gemma Collins continues to stick to controversial beauty rule she established eight years ago
GEMMA Collins has revealed she still stands by a controversial beauty claim she made in 2016.
On season 17 of Celebrity Big Brother, she criticised hair straighteners as a tool that only “f*****g weirdos use on their hair”.
The statement, made in the show’s diary room, became an iconic meme across the country that is still quoted eight years later.
In an interview with makeup brand BPerfect Cosmetics, 43-year-old Gemma was asked to elaborate on some of her iconic TV one-liners.
And she admitted she still stands by her controversial beauty rule.
Fans of The GC said they still watch the clip of her “iconic diary room scene” when they need a laugh.

“Whenever I’m in a bad mood I always watch that clip and it makes me feel better,” someone joked.
“I quote this as a lip sync – same note and everything,” said a second.
Gemma made the hilarious confession after her “very expensive” hair extensions were “worn out” by the hair straighteners present in the CBB house.
“This is very expensive hair,” she then shouted in the diary room.
“It’s f*****g busy because all you have here are straighteners.
“You don’t have heated rollers.
“So you can pay for a new set of extensions.
“That damn hair is messed up.
“It sucks, you’re all making fun of me.
“Why didn’t you think to put heated rollers in here?
