Gemma Collins reveals why ‘you could not pay her’ to go back to Spain and the surprising budget hotel chain of which she is a fan

Despite Gemma Collins Famous spending many holidays in ‘Marbs’ – aka Blitse Spanish resort Marbella, the Reality TV Star says she is now more than ready to offer ‘adios’ Spain Forever.

Why? The 44-year-old admits that after years of parties on the Costa del Sol with her The only way is Essex (Towie) Co-stars, the destination has lost its shine.

“You couldn’t afford to go to Spain,” she says. ‘It’s like you go to LondonI do it so much. It is not atmosphere for me, I would not waste my time. ‘

She is also ready with tapas and adds: ‘I just couldn’t eat other shrimp pill pill if you paid me. ‘

And although she maintains a weakness for Benidorm and calls the Costa Blanca Tourist Resort ‘Fun’, there is another country where she is aware of love.

Italy, she swore to MailOnline Travel, is her favorite destination of all time and describes the Hilltop city of Taormina in Sicily as the ‘most amazing place on earth’.

Gemma visited long before series two of HBO’s The White Lotus were filmed there – but has returned since the series a spotlight, checked in at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace, where many of the promotion takes place in the show.

She explains: ‘I went back [after the series aired] And it was full of beautiful American people. But I had something like that, honey, I am here for the pasta! ‘

Venice is again one of Gemma’s top destinations: ‘For me it is absolutely spectacular. You just won’t get about the great architecture, you’ve never seen anything like that!

‘It’s just so grown, everything is so beautiful. The food, the people, history. But take money for the water taxis, they are not cheap! ‘

And although she admits that she once spent £ 40,000 on a holiday in Greece for her family, where they ate ‘lamb chops and halloumi as if it were out of fashion’, the reality star claims that she is just as happy with a £ 400 break.

‘Sometimes I just want a beach, a small taverna left of my eye, a cold lager and a dip in the sea. You don’t always need the fringes and spilling.

“It’s like when people say to me:” Do you want a lobster roll roll? ” I am: “No, just give me some cheese, please”. Sometimes you just want normal, beautiful and simple. ‘

She is also a fan of Premier Inn – “You can choose a pillow!” – And says she is proud that she is ‘a diverse traveler’.

‘I love so many different things, depending on the journey. Traveling for me does not have to be super expensive. ‘

But when it comes to packing – and picking up a few souvenirs – Gemma does not tend to stop.

She explains: ‘I am known for gathering on my journeys. My partner gets absolutely angry. I don’t think women should wear their own things. He is tired of wearing the bags.

“When I went to Mykonos with two cases and then I ended with 11. I just went crazy.”

The star was unable to take all 11 things on the plane at the airport, so a friend treated a stay of three nights on the Greek island and he arranged for the return of the rest of the bags.

Although vacations for Gemma are all about the people she is with, she says she also had ‘beautiful’ experiences that travel solo.

‘It’s just so empowerment to be a solo traveler. It is clear in the beginning and it can be scary. [But] There is so much liberation when you have done the trip.

‘I often go to restaurants alone. It is just fun to sometimes have some peace and quiet. ‘

Every wonder, with her sober attitude and pleasant nature, she has been awarded the celebrity with which Gen Z would prefer to go out on a night out with, through in a new survey Train.

The feeling is mutual; Gemma is also a fan of Gen Z and said that she would have liked one herself: ‘Great until all the gene ZS. I think they are fun.

“I am always below new energy and new liveliness and I think it is just doing it perfectly.”

She describes herself as a ‘ball of energy’ and says that a night out in the city starts with the moment she wakes up ‘.

Although the self -proclaimed diva is known for its glamorous looks, she is no stranger to prepare herself in the back of the car or on the train.

“Because of the nature of what I do, I am prepared in toilets and in gas stations,” says Gemma.

‘On a train trip you have the entire trip to get ready. [I think] Let’s just put the glamor on the train! ‘

Of course ‘the GC’ means that it can be a challenge for Gemma to fly under the radar.

However, she doesn’t mind being recognized and likes to make time to say hello to fans when she is seen.

“I am known to be at the ice cream bus and people just bring a load of ice creams,” she says.
