The semi -final collision of the Nations League between Germany and Portugal had to be postponed by 10 minutes due to “unfavorable weather conditions” in Munich.
The situation became so unbearable that players had to protect themselves against hailstones.
It was expected that that match would initially start at 9 p.m. (7 p.m. BST) Local time in Germany.
So the game started at 9.10 pm local time (19:10 bst).
Earlier in the day, UEFA warned competition visitors of possible thunderstorms in the Bavarian Capital prognast.
About an hour before the originally planned kick-off time, a storm wiped over Noord-Munich.
And it hit the stadium with rain and left the Arena grass in hailstones.
Goalkeepers from both sides had started their warming when the storm struck.
And the players ran cover because the circumstances became too much to handle.
Nevertheless, it was taken again shortly thereafter and the two teams went to the field.
