Get a whopping $299 off Apple’s Studio Display 5K monitor for Prime Day
Prime Day is kicking off its deals with a bang. If you’ve been looking for a new monitor during the summer sales, a new Mac monitor might be a good choice. If you’re going to be using it to work with video, photos, or text, having the right screen can make all the difference, and at 27 inches wide and with a 5K resolution, Apple’s Studio Display is the monitor for you. Normally costing you a pretty penny, Apple’s Prime Day deals have brought the Studio Display back down to its all-time low price. from $1,300.
Amazon is offering the $299 discount on a range of models, starting with the standard glass, tilting model, which is now available for only $1,300 instead of the $1,599 you’d normally spend on one at the Apple Store. Want to upgrade to the light-defusing nano-texture glass? You’ll save the same amount and now pay $1,600 (though we’ve seen that model go for $1,500 in the past.) Keep in mind that we don’t know how long these discounts will last, so keep that in mind.
The Apple Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K Retina display, an A13 chip, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, and a six-speaker high-fidelity sound system that CNET’s Lori Grunin loved. Its three-microphone array ensures clear audio for calls and voice recordings, and over 14 million pixels and 1 billion colors at 600 nits of brightness make for a phenomenal display. And an anti-reflective coating increases readability, too, and the nano-texture glass option further minimizes glare.

You can use your Studio Display with Mac notebooks and desktops, such as the MacBook Pro or Mac Mini, and also with select iPad Pro and iPad Air models. It has one Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port with 96-watt charging power for connecting to the device driving the display, plus three standard USB-C ports for connecting other peripherals.
