Gigabyte has quietly the AI Top 500 TRX50A high-end system aimed at developers who work on AI models and advanced multimodal tasks.
The machine is powered by AMD‘s 24-core Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7965WX processor and cooled by an AORUS 360 AIO-LILIBARE cooler. With this combination it can perform better than Gigabyte’s previously announced Arrow Lake-SS-based AI Top 100 Z890.
Interesting is that if Techpower -Up Reports, the AI Top 500 still relies on AMD’s current generation “Zen 4/Storm Peak” architecture, even with the Threadripper Pro 9000 series that is expected to be launched in the near future.
Gates in abundance
Fortunately, the TRX50 motherboard from Gigabyte supports future upgrades, which can rely on the longer term planning. Vi’artocardiCardz was able to be able to do suggests that a version that uses the 32-core 7975WX can soon be released.

The workstation also supports multi-junction expansion via Thunderbolt 5 and Dual 10G LAN, making it a practical option for research laboratories or development teams.
The system is closely integrated with the AI top utility software platform from Gigabyte, which helps users to manage AI models, build data sets and to monitor hardware performance in real time.
With support for a maximum of 405 billion parametere models, Gigabyte focuses on users who need serious local calculation performance without trusting cloud sources…. And apparently also gamers, when the slogan of “Premium Gaming & Ai empowered desktop” can be believed.
