I bought last Labor Day this RC car from Laegendary (that’s not a typo) after it appeared on one of CNET’s best deals lists — and it turned out to be a great buy. Why the Laegendary RC car makes a great gift
My family and I have six or seven RC cars at the moment, and for the price and size this thing really packs a punch. The green and black model is currently on sale for just $116which is 8% off the regular price of $126. It has two 1,600 mAh, 7.5 volt batteries that can propel the car at a speed of about 50 km/h for about 40 minutes of driving. Thanks to the gigantic wheels (it’s a 1:10 scale car, so quite sturdy) you can drive it over grass, sand and asphalt with equal ease.
A travel bag is also included for your batteries so you can safely charge them outdoors. Lithium polymer batteries are sensitive to heat, so it is not good to keep them out of the sun while charging. We’ve been running around the neighborhood for weeks now, crashing into rocks and other RC cars, and it’s been taking everything like a champ. I am especially happy with the closed chassis, because it can drive over puddles and wet grass without any danger.
When I told my $120 Haiboxing carit held up wonderfully. It has the same speed as the Haiboxing car, but feels a little slower because it is much larger. What it lacks in top speed it makes up for in torque; this thing rises from a standstill on its rear wheels and pushes through even the tallest grass in our neighborhood.
We made a small ramp for him to jump over, and he did great there too, without any damage or stalling. The controller is good, with trim and power controls, and the foam grip on the control wheel feels much better than the hard plastic of cheaper models. It also has a range of 80 meters, so you can run it around a circuit without worrying about loss of connection.
It was a foolish impulse to buy another RC car, but I’m glad I decided to do it. It’s just as good as the more expensive cars we already have and makes a fantastic gift for anyone who loves gadgets.

Will there be Black Friday deals on the Laegendary RC car?
At $110, this RC car is already a pretty good price for its size and power. We saw the list price drop as much as 50% for Memorial Day and almost as much during Prime Day. We can’t be sure at this point if the Laegendary RC car will be on sale for Black Friday. But since Amazon discounts thousands of products during that shopping weekend, there’s a good chance the product will go on sale. If not, there are plenty of other toys and remote control devices on sale this Black Friday.
