But they are confronted with a struggle to hold Glasner, which can be a target for Tottenham.

The Austrian has been in his deal for a year and conversations with the club have been slow.

But Parish insisted: “Oliver will be here next year. Everyone knows the length of their contract. We will have to talk. We want to try to extend his contract.

“But it must be suitable for everyone. What happens on the circuit, summer transfer window, players, it’s for tomorrow.

“But he will be here next year, then we will take it from there.

“Of course I want him to stay, but things happen in football and evolve clubs and continue.

“I would like to stay him, but the club has to develop behind him, and the club has to show the ambition. And if that all fits, maybe.”

Regarding a new long -term agreement for Glasner, chairman Parish added: “We talked about it. For Oliver it is not about the things that people might think about. Oliver wants to be part of something that goes in a direction.”

The futures of Wembley Matchwinner Ebereechi Eze and skipper Marc Guehi are also questioning.

But Parish thinks it will be easier to sign players in the summer, because the club will play in the Europa League next season – their first time in Europe.

He said: “If you go for players, it is” Ah, he wants to play in Europe, so he goes where everywhere “. So of course you have that in your safe.”
