Google Pixel 9 could come with a surprise storage boost – but only for some
We’re just days away from the launch of the Google Pixel 9 series and the leaks just keep on coming. The latest leaks point to tempting offers from carriers that will give you twice the storage on your phone for your money.
As noted by a series tipster Roland QuandtA terms and conditions page that appears to have been posted online earlier states that for a limited time, UK network operator Vodafone is running a deal that gives you twice the storage for free on its Pixel 9 phones.
That means the 256GB version will sell for the price of the 128GB version, the 512GB version will sell for the price of the 256GB version, and so on. It appears to apply to the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
While those of us who don’t live in the UK and don’t have a Vodafone subscription probably shouldn’t get too excited, there’s at least a chance these deals will be available from other carriers in other countries too, giving you more Pixel for your money.

This same leak also reveals that the Google Pixel Pro XL will come with up to 1TB of internal storage, something we’ve heard in previous rumors as well. It seems likely that the Pixel 9 will max out at 256GB, while the other two phones in the quartet will come in at 512GB.
With the reveal of these devices (and the Pixel Watch 3) scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, there’s very little that hasn’t already leaked about the devices – from their internal specs to the colors we can expect them to come in.
We’ve written about everything to expect from the Pixel 9 launch , and it’s possible we’ll get news about Android 15 and potentially more Gemini AI features during next week’s big showcase event.
You can follow TechRadar and there will also be a livestream to watch. It all starts at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, which is 3am AEST on August 14. If you think you’ll be tempted to buy anything, you might have to pay a little more than you did last year.
