Google is holding a global launch event on August 13, where we expect the search giant to unveil the Pixel Watch 3 alongside the Pixel 9 series. With the launch date approaching, new details about Google’s upcoming wearable have been surfacing online. While some of the specs are said to be unchanged from the Pixel Watch 2, there will be significant upgrades according to leaks. The Pixel Watch 3 is said to come in 41mm and 45mm formats and could be powered by the Snapdragon W5 platform paired with a custom coprocessor. It is also expected to feature a 2000nit display.

A report from Android Authority, quote A source inside Google has leaked the specifications of the Pixel Watch 3. The upcoming wearable could come in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with cellular and Wi-Fi variants available. The larger model could be known as the Pixel Watch 3 XL. Like last year’s Pixel Watch 2, the new model could also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 SoC with a custom co-processor.
The Pixel Watch 3 is said to come with an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip. This would support navigation and enable precise location detection with Google’s Find My Device system. The Pixel Watch 2 previously lacked this feature.
Google’s Pixel Watch 3 is said to feature a brighter 2,000nit display with smaller bezels, a significant upgrade over the Pixel Watch 2’s 1,000nits. Both variants are said to have 4.5mm bezels, compared to 5.5mm on its predecessor. The smaller variant could offer a 408×408-pixel resolution, while the 45mm model’s display could have a 456×456-pixel resolution.
The alleged 45mm Pixel Watch 3 will reportedly feature a 420mAh battery, up from the 306mAh in last year’s model. The 41mm model is said to get a 310mAh battery.
Finally, the 41mm model of the Pixel Watch 3 is said to come in black, gold, and silver colors with rose quartz, obsidian, hazelnut, and porcelain band options. The 45mm variant could come in black, hazelnut, and silver colors with hazelnut, obsidian, and porcelain bands.
