Google Pixel Watch 3 promo images appear online; hints at new features
Google’s upcoming Pixel product launch, scheduled for August 13, has undoubtedly got everyone excited as several new products are expected to be unveiled. While the highlights remain the new Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and the new Pixel 9 Pro XL, Google has also announced a new Pixel 9 Pro Fold model. Alongside the new foldable device, Google is also expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 3, which as per previous reports will come in two case sizes – 41mm and 45mm. Now, a new major leak has surfaced which includes what appears to be official promotional images of the Pixel Watch 3 series.
A report from Android Headlines includes leaked promo images that hint at plenty of details about the watches. Starting with the contents of the box, little is said to have changed from the Pixel Watch 2. Both the 41mm and 45mm variants are said to come with a set of straps, along with an additional Active Band in the box. The magnetic (inductive) USB-C fast charging cable with a Type-C port on one end and a circular charger on the other is also said to be included.
Speaking of smartwatches, the promo images suggest that the Pixel Watch 3 could launch in two case sizes, as seen in the multiple leaks so far. Going by what’s visible in the promo images, both wearables could feature the same core hardware, save for a slightly larger display and a bigger battery on the 45mm variant.
Both the smartwatch variants are said to feature an ‘Actua’ display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The ‘Actua’ branding comes from Google’s Pixel 8 series, which introduced Google’s ‘Super Actua’ displays. The ‘Actua’ branding according to the images suggests that the new displays are twice as bright and also more responsive than those on previous models.

The regular 41mm variant with its standard battery capacity is said to charge 20 percent faster. Both variants of the smartwatch are said to offer 24 hours of battery life (with always-on display) and up to 36 hours of battery life in battery saver mode. These stats are similar to what Google is currently claiming for its Pixel Watch 2. A previous report had suggested that the Pixel Watch 3 45mm is likely to get a 420mAh battery while the 41mm variant is said to get a 310mAh battery.
According to the leaked images, the new display (particularly on the 45mm model) will offer 40 percent more screen space than the Pixel Watch 2 (41mm). The new display on the 41mm variant will offer a display that is 10 percent larger than the Pixel Watch 2.
The promotional images also hint at the various interchangeable silicone, fabric, and leather straps that were also leaked in an earlier report.
In terms of new features, the images suggest that Pixel Watch 3 users will be able to control the Pixel Camera app on their phones, view Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell feeds, access maps offline, and use Wallet for payments. The new watch models are also said to come with the ability to create custom runs and save workouts, along with a new Morning Brief feature that delivers a summary of your health and fitness stats.
In addition to the Google Pixel 9 smartphones and the Pixel Watch 3 series, Google is also reportedly set to announce a new Google TV streaming box and a Nest Thermostat.
