GoPlus launches Web3-focused extension for Chrome and Edge browsers

Web3 security company GoPlus has introduced a special browser extension to improve security for the Web3 community. The company is based in the British Virgin Islands and has launched the GoPlus Security Extension, compatible with browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The move follows a rise in security breaches across the $3.34 trillion global crypto sector.

It appears that the extension has been undergoing browser testing for a while. According to his Google Chrome Online Store listing has already earned the extension 3,000 users and a five-star rating.

“GoPlus is transforming Web3 security with its transparent user security network, which provides openly accessible security data. It provides modular user security as a service for any blockchain,” according to the description on the Chrome Web Store.

The browser extension includes features like digital wallet risk scanning, alert notifications, a security to-do list, and customizable security policies, a launch note from GoPlus said.

GoPlus has integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its Web3 security browser extension, with an AI bot and 24/7 support for users.

“This product is not just about identifying risks; it’s about giving users eternal peace of mind. By filling the critical gaps in existing security tools, we are creating a more secure and reliable ecosystem,” said Eskil Tsu, co-founder of GoPlus Security.

Along with the other features, the extension brings a “layer of security,” which GoPlus explains as providing comprehensive protection for “all on-chain activities.”

“Whether users are transferring tokens, interacting with smart contracts or exploring decentralized applications, the Security Layer delivers real-time, dynamic protections and provides an end-to-end solution that covers the entire transaction lifecycle,” GoPlus said.

It is notable that browsers like Chrome and Opera have introduced Web3-friendly features to cater to the growing community. Meanwhile, the number of scams and hacks targeting the Web3 sector is also increasing. Industry players and analysts have stepped up discussions to tighten security for the community.
