These nostalgic shoes are available in sizes 3 to 8 and are available in black or brown.

And fashion lovers are calling them the “Rachel Green boots” for their classic style, which wouldn’t look out of place in the Friends character’s wardrobe.

Primark bosses describe the boots on their website as follows: “Imagine you’re heading to New York City to enjoy a brisk walk and a cup of coffee with your best friend.

“You grab these ’90s-inspired knee-high boots, zip them up quickly with the handy zip, and throw on a knitted mini dress and your thickest tights.

“Life is good and life is chic. Now, you may not actually be in the city and there may not be a decent coffee shop nearby, but with these brown high heel boots, you’ll feel like you’re starring in your own fall romcom.

“Unfortunately, you’ll have to come up with your own story (which starts with buying these boots – we’ll get you started if necessary…).”

It is therefore no surprise that consumers are flooding social media with responses in their quest for the viral boots.

And they emphasize that they are perfect for girls with wide calves.

One of them enthusiastically commented: “I’ve been looking for these and I can confirm that they are not only gorgeous… but also the most comfortable boots I’ve ever tried!!! Go to Primark.”

A second wrote: “I bought them today and can confirm that they fit my thick calves well.”

‘You need these in every colour,’ shoppers shout as the comfy autumn classic returns to Primark shelves

“These boots are so cute! Perfect for fall and they suit a wide calf,” a third chimed in.

A fourth exclaimed: “I want these boots so bad.”

Someone else added: “I found the popular Rachel Green boots at Primark – gorgeous for autumn/winter.”

And a sixth said: “PSA to all my wide calf girls. Run, don’t walk to Primark.

“They’ve just released knee high boots that are wide calf friendly. At £26 these are a steal.”

However, not everyone is a fan of the viral shoes. Some fashion fans have even decided not to buy them.

“Rachel Green would absolutely not wear Primark boots,” fumed one.

A second claimed: “It looks so cheap.”

Meanwhile, a third person commented: “I don’t like the plastic look of it.”

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

HOW does Primark do it? Keep delivering on-trend items at such unbelievable prices? According to bosses, it comes down to four things.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to them they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • Although their clothes represent the “latest trends”, “they do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like “asking suppliers to package our t-shirts so they can go straight on the shelves.”
