The government lists 15 bills, including the Waqf bill for the winter session of Parliament
The Center will introduce 15 bills in the upcoming winter session of Parliament, which begins on Monday. This legislation includes the bill to amend the Waqf Act and five other pieces of legislation. The session ends on December 20.
Here are some of the bills listed for the session:

Waqf Bill


The Waqf (Amendment) Bill is expected to be discussed and passed once the joint committee of both the Houses submits its report to the Lok Sabha. The panel is required to submit its report on the last day of the first week of the winter session.

Merchant Navy, Coastal Shipping and Indian Ports


Another new bill proposed by the government is Merchant invoicewhich aims to ensure that India fulfills its obligations under maritime treaties to which New Delhi is a signatory. Moreover, the coastal shipping invoice and the Indian Ports Act is also scheduled for introduction and eventual adoption.
The five new bills also include the bill to establish a cooperative university. As many as eight bills, including the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and the Mussalman Wakf (Repeal) Bill, are pending in Lok Sabha. The remaining two others are at Rajya Sabha.
