Govt to approve Rs 300,000 crore highway projects this fiscal: Gadkari | India News – Times of India
New Delhi: The government will approve highway projects worth over Rs 3 lakh crore this financial year as it continues to focus on investments in creating the transportation of the country infrastructure, road transport And said Roads Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Recently, the government approved eight high-speed corridor projects covering a total length of 936 km and worth Rs 50,655 crore. Four other major projects worth another Rs 60,000 crore are likely to be tabled before the Cabinet in the coming weeks. These include the Surat-Solapur corridor in Gujarat and Maharashtra worth over Rs 20,000 crore and the Shillong-Silchar stretch worth around Rs 25,000 crore.
