An elementary school teacher accused of filming up a girl’s skirt has been charged again.

Guy James Meogrossi, 30, was arrested on June 3 at Spring Farm Public School, near Camden in Sydney’s south, after a student allegedly saw him filming up the skirts of female students and reported the behaviour to another teacher.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with three offences: filming someone’s private parts without consent, one aggravated charge of filming someone’s private parts without consent and producing child abuse material.

Now Daily Mail Australia can reveal that charges against Meogrossi have been amended while he remains in police custody.

Two of the original charges were reduced to ‘attempted’ offences. Police now accuse him of attempting to produce child pornography and attempting to aggressively film a person’s private parts.

Three more charges were added, including two counts of attempting to film a person’s intimate parts without consent and one count of attempting to produce child abuse material.

Meogrossi’s case, which now includes six charges, remains before the courts.

Police allege that the school’s principal called police after a teacher approached him with the student’s allegations.

Meogrossi, who worked as a teacher in grade 6, is himself the father of a young daughter. His name has since been removed from the staff list on the school’s website.

In addition to teaching, Meogrossi helped with extracurricular activities, coached the school’s touch football team and organized a jump rope competition to raise money for the Heart Foundation.

Meogrossi appeared in Campbelltown District Court on Wednesday where no bail application was made and was formally refused.

The case will next be heard in court on September 25.
