Halloween Town comes to life with this delightful ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Lego set
Celebrate the holidays – Halloween and Christmas – early with a spookily charming new Lego set. The Nightmare Before Christmas by Disney’s Tim Burton is a treat for fans of the 1993 film, featuring iconic scenes from Halloween Town.
At 2,293 pieces, this new Lego set is complete with Town Hall, Jack Skellington’s house and a faithful recreation of Spiral Hill, with space to pose Jack and Sally minifigures against a full moon backdrop. The three locations can be displayed as separate modules or connected to form a larger diorama.
The buildings in the new Disney Lego set are beautifully detailed, both inside and out, and their roofs can be easily removed. Other highlights include a walking bathtub, a spooky green fountain and a graveyard that can be filled with pumpkins or Christmas presents.
The minifigure selection for the Nightmare Before Christmas set exceeds all expectations. Jack Skellington has fittingly long legs (only recently added to Lego’s parts inventory), and Zero the ghost dog is a new, special piece for this set. The Mayor, a brick-built figure, comes with his signature conical, double-sided head. Rounding out the collection are Sally, Santa, Lock, Shock, and Barrel minifigures.
This new Lego set will be available from September 6th (or from September 3rd for Lego Insiders), and it costs $200 — no small sum, but it’s half the price of the 13-Foot Jack Skellington from Home Depot. If you’re looking for more ways to satisfy your brick-building urges, we’ve put together a list of our favorite Lego sets.
