Harvey Weinstein judge Steven Brecher bragging about delivering a guilty verdict on rape charges

A man who served as a juror in Harvey Weinstein’s sexual assault trial and boasted of “singling his guilty pleas” has now been charged with raping two women himself.

Steven Brecher, 55, who was the CEO of a liquor company, is alleged to have drugged and raped two women.

The two women who worked for Brecher claim their attacks happened separately but had in common that they both blacked out after having a drink with him, according to details in a Federal Court lawsuit in Manhattan, as seen by the New York Post.

The lawsuit has been filed against the company Branca USA, a subsidiary of the Milan-based spirits company Fratelli Branca, meaning Brecher himself has not been charged with criminal charges.

Brecher was the former CEO of Branca USA.

The women allege they were coerced into a sexual relationship with Brecher, who threatened to fire them all if the truth ever came to light, according to the legal filing.

The women alleged how Brecher would brag about his seven-week time on the jury during Harvey Weinstein’s February 2020 rape trial.

Brecher is said to have told one of the victims ‘that he saw women in the subway reading the Weinstein verdict with tears in their eyes, thinking about their own sexual abuse, and that they owed him that he had handed out that verdict’ . court papers.

One of the women, identified only as Jane Doe 1, 29, worked in Pennsylvania marketing Branca in the state.

The documents allege how a woman, then engaged and had just bought her wedding dress when she met Brecher, went to check out bars and restaurants that stock Branca products with the then CEO.

After visiting their third location, she blacked out. When she awoke, she was naked next to Brecher in a hotel room, physically ill and bleeding from her anus.

She did not press charges because she was afraid of losing her job.

Two months later, a similar incident is said to have occurred, this time while on a business trip to New York.

After a company event where she had a drink, she decided to take a taxi back to her hotel, but Brecher managed to duck into the taxi and went back with her.

“Her next memory is waking up naked and confused in his Upper East Side apartment,” the file said.

The lawsuit then details how Brecher’s executive assistant became his second alleged victim.

Brecher is said to have invited the 27-year-old for a drink with the assistant of another Branca executive office.

After the assistant left, the woman claims to have had a blackout.

Brecher allegedly threatened her that if she filed a complaint, the Milan headquarters would likely close the company.

His personal assistant would then text both women to downplay her boss’s behavior.

When the two alleged victims finally met, they started talking and realized they had similar experiences with the CEO… especially when they learned that he had accused them both of roofing, when they woke up next to him with no memory of the evening before,” the lawsuit said.

The two women who later resigned are demanding unspecified damages.

Branca also eventually fired Brecher after multiple complaints from women at the company.
