Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini files nomination from Ladwa; says PM Modi will visit state on September 14 | India News – Times of India
KURUKSHETRA: Chief Minister of Haryana Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday filed his nomination as BJP candidate from Ladwa constituency for the upcoming elections in the state.
He filed his nomination in the presence of minister and former CM Manohar Lal Khattar and other leaders of the party.
Addressing the media, CM Saini said that PM Modi will visit Haryana on September 14 for the election campaign. Expressing confidence, he said that the BJP will form a two-engine government in Haryana for the third time.
After filing his nomination, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini said, “I have received a lot of love from the Ladwa audience. This was a historic event of nomination where the entire Ladwa came out to bless you. One thing is for sure, the audience will form the twin-engine BJP government in Haryana for the third time. PM Modi will arrive in Haryana on September 14 and we will give him a heartwarming welcome.”
Minister Khattar, who was present at the nomination, said that the BJP would soon release the remaining list of candidates. The BJP has released a list of 67 candidates from 90 constituencies of Haryana and is yet to announce the names of the remaining seats.
ML Khattar said, “The nomination process started on September 5 and the process is going on as candidates file their nominations. It is a matter of luck that our CM Nayab Singh Saini has filed his nomination from Ladwa constituency. Till September 12, all nominations will be filed. We (BJP) have released a list of 67 candidates so far and I think the rest of the candidates will be out today. I think this time BJP will be the first party to release all the candidates as soon as possible. I hope BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third time… Congress is heading for defeat…”
Earlier in the day, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had said that the love and blessings showered on him by Ladwa’s public are priceless. Exuding confidence, Saini said that earlier they had elected him as MP but now they will elect him as MLA.
CM Saini also conveyed his wishes and thanks to the party workers in Haryana when he inaugurated a party office in Ladwa.

Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will take place on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations on September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8.
On August 31, the Election Commission of India (ECI) revised the polling date for the Haryana state assembly elections from October 1 to October 5 and moved the counting of votes for the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana from October 4 to October 8.
