Haryana state elections: AAP releases third list of 11 candidates | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi festival (MONKEY) on Tuesday evening released the third list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Haryana state Assembly elections, after the second list of nine candidates was released earlier in the day.
In the third list, the AAP has fielded Pravin Guskhani against Congress veteran and former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency.
The other candidates include Bheem Singh Rathi (Radaur), Amar Singh (Nilokheri), Amit Kumar (Israna), Mahender Dahiya (Jhajjar), Satish Yadav (Rewari), and Colonel (retd) Rajendra Rawat (Hathin).
In the second list, the Aam Aadmi Party fielded Ritu Bamaniya for Sadhaura, Krishan Bajaj for Thanesar, Hawa Singh for Indri, Mukhtiyar Singh Bazigar for Ratia and Bhupendra Beniwal for Adampur.
Surprisingly, the name of both the second and third lists was missing Sushil Guptathe Haryana president of the AAP.
The AAP on Monday released its first list of 20 candidates after seat-sharing talks with the Congress failed to reach an agreement. With the latest announcements, the party has now announced candidates for 40 of the 90 seats in the Haryana Assembly.
The deadline for submitting nomination papers is September 12. The 90-member assembly will go to the polls on October 5.
In the previous Haryana elections in 2019, the AAP had fielded candidates in 46 seats, but failed to secure a single victory.
