A fitness coach has been left in shock after he found chicken burgers that “taste exactly like KFC” in the aisle of the frozen supermarket at Woolworths.

Bec Hardgrave from Brisbane is known for its fake hacks and low-calorie alternatives to popular fast food.

In a recent video, she showed Take Outs Louisiana-style chicken burgers after being told they taste like KFC’s original recipe burgers.

Bec Hardgrave has revealed how to recreate KFC’s iconic Original Fillet burger at home

“Let’s put it to the test and make an original fillet burger,” she said.

First Bec puts the chicken in an airfryer for 12 minutes. She then makes the pepper mayo by ‘adding a teaspoon of pepper to the normal mayo’.

She toasts her hamburger buns, adds some mayonnaise and spreads it with lettuce before adding the chicken.

“I mean, it looks exactly the same,” she said before tasting the burger.

She then took a bite and revealed that it tastes “exactly the same” as KFC before giving the hack a 20 out of 10 score.

The Instagram star revealed that she bought brioche buns for the experiment, as they are most similar to the buns at the fast food store.

And while it’s cheaper and easier to make than going to the fast food store, Bec admits it has more calories than the takeout.

“I’m not saying it’s a low-calorie option to KFC’s original recipe burger, but it’s way more filling! I feel like the KFC version isn’t enough to keep me full and normally I have to get chips too,” she said.

The burger has 454 calories, 100 more than the KFC equivalent, according to the health coach.

But most of her fans were excited to get the DIY option, even if it wasn’t “healthier” or lower in calories.

“My husband loves this,” said one woman.

“Love them, they finally came out in Australia just after I moved back to New Zealand,” said another.

Bec has previously made her “own KFC” at home – and went viral for her attempt at a Zinger “Crunch” burger.

The health coach used a brioche bun, crumbled chicken tenders, plain Doritos corn chips, coleslaw, low-fat cheese, light mayonnaise, and siracha.

Her version has 456 calories, while the fast food chain’s hamburger has 585 calories.

“The chicken isn’t as tasty as the famous Kentucky Fried Chicken, but it’s delicious nonetheless and well worth a remake.”

To make the burger, she simply fried two crumbled chicken breast tenders and toasted the buns in a pan over a stove.
