Two helicopters collided shortly after take-off in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The two helicopters crashed near Mount Anderson Station in Camballin at around 6.20am local time on Thursday.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene as concerns have arisen for the welfare of those on board.

Western Australian police believe the pilots were the only ones in the helicopters.

The Kimberley Agriculture and Pastoral Company manages the indigenous owned cattle ranch.
