Here’s When The Redmi K60 Series Could Launch

The Redmi K60 series, the anticipated successor to the company’s Redmi K50 series, has been the subject of several leaks and rumors ahead of its launch in China. The latest leaks have placed the launch timeline for the upcoming phones towards the end of the month. Details shared on Chinese social networking website Weibo suggest that the Redmi K60 series will be releasing in China later in December. This comes after rumors previously suggested that the Redmi K60 series would be launching in January next year. The upcoming series is expected to consist of the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E.

The latest leak brings forward the previously rumoured January launch timeline, just ahead of the Chinese New Year. Earlier reports had stated that Redmi had adjusted the January release window due to delays in Xiaomi’s 13 series announcement.

Previous leaks surrounding the specs of the upcoming phones have given a glimpse of what to expect from the Redmi K60 series. According to MIUI Polska writer Kacper Skrzypek, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60E are expected powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and an unnamed MediaTek SoC. However, the Redmi K60E was later spotted on Geekbench, alongside a Snapdragon 870 SoC.

The vanilla Redmi K60 is said to feature a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The K60 is also said to feature a triple camera setup on the back, including a 64-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

The Redmi K60 was also spotted on China’s 3C certification website, revealing that the device supports 67W fast charging.
