Four charities, piles of large rescues, an end-to-end spectacular in the sun to complete the competition season.

And yet, here we are. Talking stuck about doubtful, the absence of goal line technology and what feels like the eternal question: what is the use of VAR in Scottish football?

There are many things to discuss after this thoroughly entertaining affair Easter Get rid of it.

How it turned out to be a nice broadcast for third -placed Hibs at the end of a great one, albeit the roller coaster, season and a special affair for the deductible Dwight Gayle, who received an honorary guard from his teammates during the last whistle.

How it almost summarizes Rangers‘Lismal campaign as a whole with missed opportunities, defending Dodgy and an inability to get the job done and to emphasize the need for the team to be torn apart in the summer.

There is also the mystery of how Cyriel Dessers, unless Simon Murray later today Dutt to Dundee in McDiarmid Park, the top scorer of the Premiership will end with 18 goals.

However, these are sub-plots. The result really meant little. Seeing clear goals by the official team passing and then not awarded after long -term varies cannot be obscured.

Week in, week out appears to come forward problems with video assessments and poor decision-making. What happened here yesterday was crazy.

With fifteen minutes on the clock, and Rangers a goal ahead through the early opener of Dessers, Nicolas Raskin moved to a bladder of Mohamed Diomande, brought his foot to the ball to poke it past keeper Jordan Smith and then pursued it with rocky bushiri.

It looked so clear as the day that the ball had crossed the line before Bushiri, then entangled in the net, it clearly kicked – led to a backheeled attempt by Dessers that were saved by home keeper Smith.

Yet the goal was not given and Hibs hit the right to bring it 1-1 via Kieron Bowie. Watch the TV photos and it naturally looks that Raskin’s efforts should have been made, but the Scottish FA insisted that available images did not provide conclusive evidence for Var Andrew Dallas that the ball had exceeded the line.

So, where are we going from here? It is bad enough that the distant linesman Calum Spence had not clocked that a goal had been scored, but we have known for years that the general standard of officializing should really improve.

That brings us to technology. The use of VAR has been a mess this season and the calls of Rangers last night to bring in goal line technology to supplement it now seem impossible to ignore.

There will be opposition because of the costs. There is a lobby that states that VAR must be abolished. However, Sanity suggests that there must be a step to cost what Rangers evoke and put it on the mood.

Simply put, there have been too many arguments this season about whether a ball has exceeded the border or not and the national sport looks stupid and cheap.

It feels like a shame that this issue should be the lasting topic of conversation of a competition that offered so much and ended with honor, even after a Raskin header to put Rangers 2-1 in front, was canceled by Martin Boyle.

From the start it was played at an excellent pace with dessers who break the impasse after just a few minutes.

A poor approval by house goalkeeper Smith went directly to Raskin on the left flank. He responded well by restricting the ball as it came and found Dessers cheerfully unark in a central position on the edge of the area.

He took a touch to check it and hit a nice shot on the bend that easily defeated Smith to the right.

After Jack Butland had saved from Junior Hoilett on the other hand, Vaclav Cerny had an excellent chance to bring the score to 2-0 when he was saved by the keeper on a point-white reach.

How that Raskin effort did not make it 2-0 seconds later is a person’s gamble and what made things worse for Rangers is that Hibs scored in the immediate aftermath.

Boyle ran in the space in the left flank and supplied perfect low cuts for Bowie, which first lifted it into the net.

A long VAR check followed with the stadium screens stating that the review was aimed at an offside.

What was not made clear is that Raskin’s goal with Bushiri was also considered – with sources that then mentioned that VAR cameras could not offer a convincing perspective to prove that the ball had exceeded the line.

Yet Rangers did not deter. Captain James Tavernier forced an excellent flying salvation from a 25-year free kick to the half hour and played his role in setting up the visitors with 2-1 in the 50th minute.

He shot in a corner from the left and breeding created space to throw a header in the net. It will be the party piece of the midfielder while adding more goals to his game.

From there, Rangers should have been out of sight. Danilo passed on an excellent opportunity when he shot directly on Smith after moving to a cross from Nana Kasanwirjo and the penalty then paid his side a cheap equalizer halfway through the second period.

Nicky Cadden found space on the left flank for Hibs and delivered a deep cross to the rear pole. It should have been handled by the visiting Achterguard, but Robin Propper, an early replacement for the injured Leon Balogun, and Kasanwirjo stepped into a veid and Boyle Dook between them to send a header back to Butland for his 20th goal of a good season.

Scandalous defense. Super finish.

Danilo had a late chance to grab and failed for Rangers, which almost summarized his season.

Who knows if it is for him at Rangers? It is certainly a time for interim boss Barry Ferguson, who certainly waved his farewell to the fans of yours during the time-up.

Who then comes as the boss of the Ibrox outfit, remains a hot topic. What is no longer under discussion is that the SFA VAR must assess and looks at getting on-the-line cameras that are installed for the next term.

We just can’t continue.
