“Rafa broke his arm badly yesterday playing in the park,” the caption read. “You’ll be seeing him in a cast for a while, so I wanted to give you a heads up. Thank you Lennox Hill Emergency Room for taking such good care of our baby. So thankful to the doctors and the nurses for your expertise and kindness.
“This is part of parenting that is so heartbreaking. We were with the babies when it happened and getting that call makes your heart hurt. His little voice on the phone “I want my mommy”…knowing that even the 20 minutes to get to him is 20 minutes too long.
“Not to be able to immediately take away their pain and fear… oh, nothing prepares us for this, right? We were at the hospital until quite late and then we made a bed on our floor (wild sleeper, was afraid he would fall off our bed). I don’t know how many times he called me last night. At one point I heard him whisper to himself, telling what had happened and saying over and over, ‘I broke my arm.’

The latest: Yesterday Hilaria had another health scare involving one of her six children. She revealed she had to give son Eduardo an EpiPen injection on Wednesday after the child experienced “a very severe allergic reaction.”
“He’s fine and home now, but I’m sharing with you to remind you that this is a life-saving device that you may be able to keep around the house,” she said of EpiPens. “If your doctor thinks you should keep one at home, make sure you know how to use it ahead of time because these reactions can be so strong and rapid.”
Hilaria said she wouldn’t “bore” her followers with the details of how to “rush her son out the door,” but would rather leave you with our experience, just in case that helps.”
Hilaria sent her “deep gratitude” to West End Pediatrics, the Mount Sinai Ambulance and the emergency room at Lenox Hill Hospital.
Hilaria accompanied the post with a photo of herself in what appeared to be a medical facility holding Eduardo, who had a number of sensor patches.
The incident happened more than a year after Hilaria Eduardo admitted to medical care in May 2021 after experiencing a previous allergic reaction.
Hilaria later shared a photo of her son sleeping with the caption “Dear Baby”
“Luckily, when I took this photo, he was back to himself and kicked the phone out of my hand,” she said. ‘I, on the other hand, was a worn-out wreck. Love you all and be safe.”
The incident came more than a year after Hilaria admitted Eduardo for medical care after experiencing a previous allergic reaction.
“I don’t know where to yet, but it was one of those horrible moments that a parent dreads,” Hilaria said in a May 21, 2021 Instagram post. “My kids are not allergic, so this was a first. No matter how many kids you have, there are always moments that shake us up because there’s no way we can prepare.’
In the incident, Hilaria said she was “grateful to…doctors and nurses and other healthcare professionals” who helped care for Edu amid the medical situation.
“I won’t name your names here, but you know who you are, and I hope my heart is tied to your care and kindness,” she wrote. “I’m told efficiency is paramount in this situation…don’t wait to see if it gets better. If you find yourself in this situation, just go for help.”
