Hindu outfits demand release of ISKCON leader in Bangladesh

CHENNAI: Several Hindu organisations, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Chinmaya Mission, have come together to demand the immediate release of Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmacharian ISKCON leader, arrested by Bangladesh Criminal Investigation Department on November 25 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

An advocate for Rights of Hindu MinoritiesDas has actively raised concerns about attacks on temples and monasteries in Bangladesh. Authorities charged him under the Sedition Act, accusing him of provoking unrest at a rally in Chattogram on October 25.
Hindu organizations have condemned the arrest, calling it a threat to freedom of expression and minority rights. They urge the Bangladesh government to ensure a fair investigation, while calling on international human rights organizations to monitor the case and advocate for justice.
