Holidaymaker laughs as she reveals sunbather’s dirty behaviour at hotel pool
You can expect to encounter people sunbathing, applying sunscreen and even fighting over a lounge chair.
But what you probably don’t expect to see next to a hotel pool is someone clipping their toenails.
Katy was on holiday in Dubai and had been watching her three children ‘living their best lives’ in the pool when she heard a ‘clicking’ sound.
“And I thought, I know what that sound is, please don’t let it be right where I’m sitting,” she said in a video on her TikTok page.
“So I read my book and ignore the noise.
“But I know exactly what that sound is. A dirty pig is clipping its toenails – about 15 feet away from me.

“A man, a grown man, is clipping his toenails by the pool. I can’t.
“How can I be so shocked by the nature of some people?”
And when he was done, the “worst part” was that he scooped all the nails off the towel “onto the floor.”
“Please tell me I’m not the only one who hates this so much,” she said.
“Isn’t cutting your toenails a private matter? You wouldn’t do that at a public swimming pool, would you?”
People were quick to comment on the video. One person wrote: “Why would you do it by the pool and NOT in your room?!”
“I would be furious!!!!”
“Gosh, you can hear and see what someone is doing 15 feet away,” added another.
To which Katy replied, “Yeah, it’s not much different!”
When someone else asked why Katy hadn’t said anything, she replied: “I was in shock, I didn’t know what to say!!
“He definitely looked like the type of person who didn’t give a damn!!”
Others told of their own similar situations. For example, one person said he had “seen a woman in a restaurant clipping her nails.”
I am a real tanning bed addict and start at 1am
AIMEE Millar, 20, says she left her room in the middle of the night when she discovered other guests doing the same.
The holidaymaker, who lives near Belfast, Northern Ireland, explained that she would have to pay £6 per sunbed if she did not claim them in time.
She told Luxury Travel Daily: “As crazy as it was, we didn’t mind doing it at 1am because we would be staying up later anyway.”
Aimee and her partner Darragh, also 20, decided to join the sunbed wars while on holiday in Albufeira, Portugal.
They stayed at the popular holiday resort from July 28 to August 10.
The first few mornings they claimed their sunbeds before breakfast, around 6am, but they kept missing the best spots.
In a video shared to TikTok, Aimee captured the couple heading to the pool early in the morning to secure the best sunbeds.
Armed with their towels, Aimee said, “I know it’s crazy, but it’s the normal thing to do here.”
As she pondered her cunning strategy, she recognized that it was unfair.
“I think it’s weird and a bit over the top to put towels down when you leave the pool or late at night,” Aimee said.
“I don’t think it would be fair to an older couple or families with young children who might go to bed earlier. They can’t do it so easily themselves.”
“I was on the bus once and a woman started cutting her toenail,” added another.
“I was on the bus and a woman started picking dead skin off her feet and throwing it on the floor,” someone else said.
“What’s wrong with people?!”
In another video On TikTok, Katy revealed that another man had cut his foot while walking back from the beach, and she wondered if he had stepped on the other man’s toenails.
