Horror as a young man, 23, is stabbed outside of Coles Maroubra – as the local population encouraged to ‘stay away’

A manhunt is going on after a young man was stabbed in a popular neck in the back of the neck Sydney Shopping center.

Emergency manning were called Coles Maroubra Pacific Square around 11.30 am on Saturday after a 23-year-old man was stabbed.

A message for the Maroubra community Facebook Group insisted on the local population to stay away from the busy shopping center.

One man was injured in the attack, the police of NSW confirmed.

‘A 23-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a wound in his neck before he was brought to St Vincent’s hospital in a stable state, “said a spokesperson.

“The police are looking for a man who is described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander -performance, about 180 cm long, with a black hoodie with the word ‘note’ in light blue letters, light -colored pants, a black cap and a blue surgical mask.”

A shopper who witnessed the attack was just a few meters away.

“I was there when it happened. Fortunately I stopped to see something if I would have been there next to them. From what I could see, the victim seemed okay, “she said.

The area has been closed off and the police continue to investigate the circumstances around the incident.
