Horror ends house party in Vincentia, NSW, after balcony collapses with 40 teenagers on it, while four people are rushed to hospital

A teenage party at a luxury beachside rental ended in disaster when a balcony carrying 40 people suddenly collapsed, leaving four people requiring hospital treatment.
Dozens of teenagers were partying at a three-bedroom rental home in Vincentia, 200 kilometers south of Sydney, on Saturday evening when a small balcony off the upstairs master bedroom gave way at 11.30pm.
Emergency services rushed to the building, where they discovered that forty people had been on the balcony when it collapsed.
Four of the young partygoers – three women and one man – suffered leg and back injuries and were rushed to hospital.
“Around 11.30pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, emergency services were called to a home on Elizabeth Drive in Vincentia following reports of a balcony collapse,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.
‘Officers from South Coast Police District were told that around 40 people – all in their teens – were on the balcony when it collapsed.
‘Four people – three women and one man – aged in their teens were injured and were treated at the scene by ambulance crews for minor injuries and taken to hospital for further treatment.’
Daily Mail Australia approached NSW Ambulance for comment.
A listing for the rental said it offers “spectacular views of Jervis Bay” and the master bedroom has a “private balcony with stair access to the rear garden/beach.”
