Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon returned to TV in June promising more fantastical battles, family drama and flying, fire-breathing lizards, with eight new episodes premiering on June 16 to the final on August 4th.
Set in the world of George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy novel A Song of Ice and Fire but hundreds of years earlier, Season 2 of the series picks up with the Targaryen dynasty in turmoil. King Aegon’s Green Council and Queen Rhaenyra’s Black Council are on a path to all-out war, with each faction claiming to be the one true monarch.
The new series of episodes will see the return of original stars Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Paddy Considine and Eve Best. New cast members for season 2 include Raised By Wolves actor Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Glow’s Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers and Cucumber actor Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower.

How to Watch House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 5
New episodes are streamed every time Sunday at 9pm ET/PTwith episode 5 releasing on July 14. The series will air on HBO’s linear channel and will be simulcast on Max on the same day and time.
The remaining episodes of the eight-episode season will be released weekly, with the final episode being released on August 4. The rest of the release schedule is listed below:
