“How did it get this bad?” people shout as mother shows off her trash-littered car
A mother has caused outrage online after showing off the inside of her filthy car.
Brittany from the US took to social media to show off her car and explain why she was finally going to give it a thorough cleaning.
The mother of three, who was also pregnant, said: “I spilled Dr Pepper in my car and I knew that was the last straw, I had to clean it up.”
She then showed the sticky mess in her cup holder and turned to show the mountain of trash she’d picked up from the floor of the car.
Brittany then went to work vacuuming the car seats and car mats and was shocked to discover how much food debris was stuck in the seats.
The mother had pulled out all the stops and removed all the car seats so that she could get into every nook and cranny.

She also saw a whole pack of Pringles lying on the floor.
Her oldest son was going to school soon and she said this was an important reason to finally get rid of her car.
Brittany admitted she was most concerned about the way teachers assessed the state of the mess.
“School starts soon and I’m going to drop off my oldest,” she explained.
“And I don’t want to open the door and have the teachers say, ‘Oh my god, did you see that mom’s car?’”
The mother was too tired to vacuum the car, but was pleased with the overall improvement.
“If your car is dirty, clean it. It will feel much better afterwards,” Brittany adds.
The clip quickly went viral on her TikTok account @brittanyscreativecorner with more than 2.5 million views and 164,000 likes.
People were shocked by the mess the car made and shared their opinions in the comments.

How do you clean the interior of a car?
Removing personal items: Remove all items from your vehicle, including floor mats, trash, and personal belongings.
Open windows and doors: Ensure good ventilation.
Seats: Use the furniture vacuum attachment to vacuum the chairs thoroughly. Make sure you get into the crevices.
Floor mats: Remove the floor mats and vacuum them separately.
Carpet: Vacuum the carpets, paying particular attention to the areas under the seats and pedals.
Cracks and corners: Use the crevice tool to get into tight spaces and between chairs.
Dashboard and console: Use a microfiber cloth and interior cleaner to wipe down the dashboard, steering wheel, console and other hard surfaces. For stubborn dirt, a soft brush can help.
Door panels: Clean the door panels and handles in the same way.
Cup holders: Use a small brush or cotton swab to clean cup holders.
Glass cleaner: Spray a glass cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and wipe all windows and mirrors. Avoid spraying directly onto the glass to prevent streaks.
Fabric chairs: Use a fabric upholstery cleaner. Spray a small amount onto a microfiber cloth and gently scrub the seats. For stains, follow the cleaner’s instructions.
Leather chairs: Use a leather cleaner and conditioner. Apply the cleaner with a microfiber cloth and then apply the conditioner to keep the leather supple.
Carpet cleaner: Apply a carpet cleaner to stains on the carpet. Use a brush to scrub the stains and then blot with a clean cloth.
Floor mats: Clean the floor mats with a suitable cleaning agent. Rubber mats can be washed with soap and water, while carpet mats can be treated with a carpet cleaner.
Dashboard protector: Apply a dashboard protector to keep the surface looking new and to protect it from UV damage.
Air freshener: Consider using an air freshener or odor eliminator to give your car a fresh scent.
Another commented: “How did it get to this point? I’d go crazy if there were crumbs on my seat.”
“Oh my god I want to know what your house looks like,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Was it the Dr Pepper that was the problem?”
“Haha my car is so much worse. So proud of you for cleaning it! You’re doing an amazing job,” a fifth claimed.
Someone else added: “As someone who grew up with this, people’s concerns are 100% valid and I hope this was a reality check for you.”
