A mother has panicked after her daughter scribbled on her boyfriend’s couch with permanent marker.
The delirious mom revealed that her little girl had taken a rare moment alone to add her own special touches to the beige two-seater.
To make matters worse, the girlfriend had kindly helped them with lodging while they were traveling, she explained in a post online.
‘Can someone help me? I don’t know how to clean this,” she said, adding a photo of the broken couch.
Some people were quick to slap the mother and tell her to change the couch and watch her child.
This prompted her to edit the post to explain that professional cleaning and replacement were on the cards, but she thought she’d ask for advice first.
A mom is panicked after her favorite little artist takes self-expression to a new level by scribbling on her boyfriend’s couch with permanent marker
And most people were sympathetic.
“Kids suck sometimes, don’t worry about it mom,” said one woman before advising on finding out how much the couch costs.
“You poor thing, why do they do things like this those little fools, good story for her 18th though,” said another.
Some people suggested handy DIY tricks to banish the permanent marker lines.
‘I remove a pen from my children’s school uniforms by spraying on hairspray and then just washing it. This only works if you haven’t washed it or tried other products on it,” says one woman.
“I was using hand sanitizer on my leather couch when my little one drew on it with a permanent marker,” said another.
“When my daughter was drawing on my car seats, a professional cleaner told me to use metho — and it worked like a treat,” said another woman.
While others agreed it was best to call in the professionals.
“If it was a small place, I’d say try it, but it’s not, it’s huge, so you’ll need to call in backup,” one woman said.
‘Poor thing, our dear children. Be honest and have it professionally cleaned, it’s not worth the risk if she helped you,” said one woman.
“The pros cleaned this up in no time — and with a lot less stress,” said another.
“Since it belongs to someone else, I wouldn’t risk an experimental cleaning, but call in the professionals.”
While others said replacing the sofa could be easier.
“She should check her insurance policy, if she has accidental damage they should replace it. You should just pay the deductible,” said one woman.
‘To be honest, I think you should buy her a new sofa. Depending on the fabric, anything you use will just damage it,” said another.
This isn’t the first time someone has turned to the group for help cleaning up their “little” creative geniuses.
A mom shared photos of her little Picasso’s efforts to redecorate the kitchen using bright red acrylic paint.
A mom has shared photos of her little Picasso’s kitchen sprucing up efforts – using bright red acrylic paint
The youngster’s artwork can be seen scattered across the light gray vinyl of the kitchen floor and streaked across the matching cabinet doors.
Little red footsteps shed some light on exactly how the artwork was created, as does a sneaky photo of the little girl at work, oblivious to her mother quietly watching her.
The paint, which initially left the mother “completely speechless,” “lifted pretty well” but left a pale pink stain on the floor.
“How are you doing on Saturday?” the mother asked, sharing the photo with a cleaning group.
Most people agreed that the little red footprints were their favorite part of the self-proclaimed art project
She also posted “after” photos showing how she managed to remove the artwork.
The group’s cleaners praised her for getting rid of most of the mess, while others thanked her for brightening their day.
‘At least you made us all laugh about it! Even though it probably wasn’t that funny walking into a room for this,’ said one mother.
“They grow so fast. One day you’ll look back when Picasso grows up and you’ll all have a good laugh about it,” said another.
The mother impressed cleaners with her ability to clean up the paint without professional help
Some joked that it was a little too late for Halloween decorations.
The mother explained that the artwork was created first thing in the morning.
“I didn’t know she was awake yet — I was in my room,” she said.
Most people agreed that the tiny footprints were “too many” and “very cute.”
The cleaners agreed that the pink stain on the floor should come out over time.
