Canned Food Initiative, Love canned foodhelps busy parents keep their summer budgets in check with easy food replacements that can cut food bills by 31%, all by doing one simple thing: choosing canned food.

By making simple changes, such as choosing tinned fruit, vegetables, beef and fish, families can save up to £160 over the summer holidays. That’s a big saving considering the average family of four spends £129 a week on groceries.

The canned food experts compared a list of 25 popular household foods and found that canned food is often much cheaper, with more than two-thirds of the products costing a fraction of the price.

In fact, canned food is better than fresh food, both in price and taste.

Learn more about saving money

A blind taste test by Manchester Metropolitan University comparing recipes using fresh ingredients with recipes using tinned ingredients found that in more than half of cases, tinned ingredients tasted as good or better than fresh ingredients.

This means families can save money by preparing canned meals, while still enjoying the great taste of home-cooked family meals.

Together with foodie and influencer Ashleigh Mogford, Love Canned Food shares new and exciting recipes that will make your taste buds water.
