How to Watch ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 33 Without Cable
The 33rd season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars kicks off tonight, bringing familiar faces like Anna Delvey, Joey Graziadei and Tori Spelling to your TV screen.
A total of 13 celebrities (along with their professional dance partners) will star in the competition show co-hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough. Dances featured in the premiere include tango, cha-cha, salsa, foxtrot and jive, according to ABC.
If you don’t have cable and want to watch the start of the new Dancing With the Stars season live, you have two good options: a live TV streaming service or Disney Plus. Here’s everything you need to know before the shows begin.
When can you watch Dancing With the Stars season 33?
You can watch the new season live tonight, Tuesday September 17 on ABC or Disney Plus at the following times: 8:00 PM (for ET and PT) and 7:00 PM (for CT)According to Disney, the premiere will be streaming on Disney Plus simultaneously with its broadcast on your local ABC station, depending on where you are.
If you don’t need to watch the game live, you can stream the episode the following day, September 18, on Hulu.
You can watch ABC without cable by signing up for a live TV streaming service that carries the channel. Hulu Plus Live TV and YouTube TV are two popular services that check that box, and a Sling Blue subscription is a cheaper option that can deliver ABC if you’re in a certain city.
Viewers who wish to vote for their favorite contestants can do so while the show is airing live in the ET/CT time zones (this excludes PT). During this broadcast window, online voting will be available via dwtsvote.abc.com for each time zone in the US, its territories and Canada. US fans can also vote via SMS.
Hulu’s non-live TV plans — Hulu and Hulu (No Ads) — will stream the premiere of Dancing with the Stars the day after it airs. You can currently subscribe for $8 or $18 a month, but like Disney Plus, Hulu won’t cost the same after Disney’s price increase in October.
Hulu Plus Live TV includes ABC and is a way to watch the Dancing with the Stars premiere live without cable. The streaming service costs $77 a month (soon to be $83) and comes with the ad-supported versions of Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN Plus.
