Huawei Mate XT price and design revealed in new leak

Huawei Mate XT is all set to make its official launch in China next week. Huawei has been teasing its first triple-screen smartphone for a few weeks now, but a new leak has given us our first glimpse at the phone’s design. The newly leaked alleged hands-on image shows the side profile of the Huawei Mate XT. It appears to have a tablet-like build and a circular camera module on the back. The leak also suggests the Huawei Mate XT’s potential pricing.

Weibo user Whylab has posted an alleged hands-on image Huawei Mate XT pricing and pricing details. According to the tipster, the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant of the triple foldable phone has been priced at CNY 16,888 (roughly Rs. 1,99,300) on the pre-owned sales platform in China. Huawei is expected to launch other RAM and storage options for the phone.

The renders obtained by the tipster are said to be of the engineering prototype of the Huawei Mate XT. It shows the side profile of the handset in a folded state. It appears to have a thin primary display. The camera setup isn’t fully visible in the renders, but it appears to have a circular camera module on the back, like previous Huawei Mate phones.

Huawei has a grand launch event scheduled for September 10, where it will unveil the Mate XT along with a few other devices. Several HarmonyOS smart driving products like Luxeed R7 and a new smart car model are also expected to go official at the same event.

The exact specifications of the Huawei Mate XT are not yet known but the device is rumored to feature a 10-inch inner display. It is expected to have dual inner displays and an outer display that is attached via a dual-hinge system. It could be powered by the Kirin 9-series chipset. The device is said to offer various AI capabilities and features.
