Husband and wife found dead in suspected murder-suicide at a house in Melbourne’s beachside suburb
Two bodies have been found in a house in a Melbourne beachside suburb.
The man and woman were discovered just before 11am on Thursday at a property on James Street in Mordialloc, in the south-east of the city.
Photos from the crime scene show SES crews assisting police as a crime scene was established on the residential street.
The couple has not yet been formally identified.
Neighbor Jade Lindsay said she heard a “blood-curdling scream” and ran outside to find a “distressed” woman who had discovered the bodies.
“It was a very disturbing, blood-curdling scream that really scared me because it lasted so long,” she told the newspaper Herald Sun.
“It’s quite disturbing to hear… that lady who was shouting was clearly very upset.”
Ms Lindsay said a man and a woman, believed to be in their 30s, were walking up and down the pavement outside the house.
