Hyundai Ioniq 9 EV: luxury meets performance with a range of 620 km.

Hyundai has introduced its new flagship Ioniq 9, a three-row SUV in the luxury electric mobility segment. The company has revealed that the EV will make its debut in the Korean and US markets in the first half of 2025. The vehicle is said to offer a combination of performance, space and advanced technological features.

Powered by an impressive 110.3 kWh battery pack, the Ioniq 9 has an estimated range of up to 620 kilometers on the WLTP cycle. The vehicle offers two primary trim levels – Long-Range and Performance – with multiple powertrain configurations to suit varying driver preferences.

Powertrain and performance

The Long-Range variant offers rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options, with a 218 hp rear-mounted engine and an additional 95 hp front motor in AWD configuration. The Performance trim offers exclusive all-wheel drive and delivers robust overall system power with impressive acceleration capabilities.

Interior innovation

The Ioniq 9 is available in six- and seven-seat configurations. The vehicle is equipped with swivel seats in the second row, massage functions for passengers in the first and second rows and a flexible Universal Island 2.0 console. The car offers a generous luggage space of 620 liters, which can be expanded to 1,323 liters with the third row folded down.

Technological competence

The vehicle comes with a number of interesting features including a panoramic curved display, 12-inch infotainment and instrument clusters, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control and an optional 14-speaker Bose sound system. The SUV supports ultra-fast charging and can charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes using a 350 kW charger.

Design and dimensions

Measuring 5,060 mm in length, the Ioniq 9 has an aerodynamic profile with a drag coefficient of 0.259. The design incorporates Hyundai’s Parametric Pixels LED lighting signature and offers 16 exterior color options.
