I am 28 and my 51 year old husband pays me £80 a week to be his housewife
A WOMAN has revealed her husband pays her £80 a week to be his housewife.
28-year-old Alyssa met Tom 51 at work and the two quickly hit it off.
When they first started dating, Alyssa worked while also attending college, but after the couple got engaged, she decided to stay home so she could devote more attention to the home.
“I didn’t even know I wanted a traditional relationship, and until I got involved with Aly, I didn’t realize how amazing it would be to have a gender-segregated relationship.
Alyssa said she is not a feminist and that she finds feminism “completely unnecessary.”
She does all the cooking and cleaning in the house, while her husband works 10-hour shifts.

When the couple got married, Alyssa closed down all her credit cards and bank accounts and now receives £80 a week from Tom.
“It’s the best job I’ve ever had,” she said.
Alyssa said she enjoys being a housewife much more than going to work because at work you are a slave to a “husband who doesn’t care about you,” while her husband “isn’t going to fire me tomorrow.”
The couple has been criticized by internet trolls for their 23-year age difference, with some claiming that Alyssa must have “dad issues.”
Alyssa says she also gets criticism for her views on feminism, from “women over 30.”
“I just want to let women know that there are other options,” she said.
Alyssa runs a successful YouTube channel where she encourages other women to follow a similar lifestyle as hers.
“I save these women,” she said.
Tom added that he appreciates the “male” dynamic between them and that he feels happy when he is taking care of his wife.
What is a traditional woman?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra-traditional role in marriage. This means making dinner and looking pretty while her husband is at work.
The trend is inspired by the image of the housewife from the 1950s.
Many traditional wives choose to dress in the style of clothing popular at the time (think floral dresses and slouchy cardigans).
Moreover, the values that traditional women consider important resemble strictly Christian values.
Traditional wives believed that they were not forced to live this way and that their purpose was to be a housewife.
The trend, which has gained traction on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, glorifies a bygone era and pays little attention to the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.
Alyssa said: “I think most modern relationships are unhappy because men act like women and women act like men. And when they’re together, it creates a very unbalanced dynamic.
“I think the whole culture we have now wants you to be fat, single, childless, and depressed. If you go against that, it’s going to be hard.”
Tom added: “We have a relationship with ourselves that makes us relatively happy and then we come together and have a happy marriage.”
