Sarah Jossel, This Morning’s beautician, shared the tip in her most recent segment on the day’s programme.

The beauty director swears by a trusty piece of aluminum foil to combat frizz.

She simply wraps a piece of it around her hair and pulls it down to instantly remove any frizz.

“If you just take the foil, wrap it around your hair and go down, the frizz completely disappears,” says Sarah.

“Basically, the metal charges remove the static electricity from your hair.

“So it’s a short-term, quick result, but it does remove all the frizzy, frizzy hair.”

Frizzy hair can sometimes be caused by static electricity. This causes the individual hair strands to repel each other and stand on end.

Aluminum foil can help control frizz by reducing static electricity and smoothing the hair cuticle.

According to the experts at L’Oréal Paris, the hair cuticle is the outer layer of the hair that protects the hair shaft (the inner part of the hair).

Because aluminum foil is metal, it can dissipate this static charge, thus reducing lint formation.

However, it is important to know that frizzy hair can be caused by several factors besides static electricity.

People with curly or wavy hair are more prone to frizz because the natural shape and texture of the hair causes the hair cuticle to rise and allow moisture to pass through, leading to frizz.

Humidity is a major factor in the development of frizzy hair.

In humid conditions, hair absorbs moisture from the air, causing the hair shaft to swell and the hair cuticles to rise, leading to frizz.

In addition, damaged hair is more prone to frizz.

This includes damage from bleach, chemical treatments such as perms and styling with excessive heat, which can damage the hair cuticle.

This simple beauty trick is a quick fix and not a long-term solution for frizzy hair, but it is a godsend if you want to quickly touch up your hair.

Serums, oils and leave-in conditioners can smooth the hair cuticle and reduce frizz on a more permanent basis.
