I am a doctor and love a ‘miracle plant’ that is so underrated for your skin and hair
An anti-aging specialist has shared a plant that she claims purifies the skin, reduces wrinkles and prevents dandruff.
She encouraged everyone to bring the ‘miracle plant’ into their homes for all kinds of beauty and health reasons.
Dr. Azza Halima Boca Raton, Florida-based esthetician shared the skin care tips in an interview with The US Sun.
“Aloe vera is often called a ‘miracle plant’ because of its
calming and healing properties, attributed to the rich composition of
vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and other bioactive
substances, especially for skin conditions,” she said.
“There are several underrated uses for aloe vera for skin, hair, and gut health.”
She was enthusiastic about the hydrating and anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera, which apply not only to the skin of the face and body.
“Aloe vera can help reduce dandruff and soothe an itchy scalp as it also balances the pH of the scalp, reducing irritation,” she explains.
As for the skin, she added that aloe vera gel can help reduce acne and heal wounds and minor cuts.
People with allergies and hypersensitivity to certain plant species should be careful when applying aloe vera. Halim explains that a quick patch test is sufficient to eliminate doubts about skin tolerance.
In addition to its general moisturizing benefits, aloe vera is also effective as a hair and anti-aging treatment.

“It can also be used as a natural conditioner to moisturize and
“It strengthens the hair, reduces frizz, adds shine and improves texture,” she said.
“A common use is for sunburn relief as it is soothing and
cooling. Some use it to hydrate fine lines and wrinkles.”
“[It has] antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory
properties along with the various nutrients it contains including vitamins of
C, E, B12, minerals, magnesium and zinc.
“As a skin lightener it works through exfoliation with its natural enzymes,
hydrating and moisturizing, plus the vitamin C content
suppressing melanin production are all necessary for
lightening and pigmentation problems.”
The plant in liquid form also offers a whole host of health benefits when taken internally.
Drinking aloe vera juice in moderation can help soothe digestion
“It helps cleanse the digestive tract, relieve constipation and improve overall digestion,” Halim says.
“It can also help reduce symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. I personally use organic aloe vera mixed with apple cider vinegar, unfiltered and raw/organic, when I have gastrointestinal upset or heartburn,” she said.
“I found it useful. Of course, not every remedy or DIY solution is for
every individual; this is therefore not medical advice but merely a
opinion based on my personal use.”
Halim added that the purer the aloe vera, the better.
“When using aloe vera, especially internally, it’s important to make sure it’s pure and free of added chemicals,” she says.
“If you can get the real aloe leaf and extract the aloe gel yourself, then that is the best and purest form.
“Always consult a doctor before using
“As a treatment, especially for serious conditions.”
