Reddit user common sense shared the beauty tip in a post.

“I used to work at Ulta, specifically in perfumery, so I have some tips!” they said.

They explained that applying the same scent multiple times can make a big difference.

“If possible, use the same scent for shower gel, lotion and perfume,” they said.

A trick with Vaseline also ensures that perfumes stay on the skin better.

“Another weird trick is to put a little Vaseline on your skin before applying perfume. It will then sit on the skin for a little longer before it sinks in,” they said.

“Invest in higher quality perfumes and avoid anything that is a ‘body spray’.”

Fun fact: perfumes can smell completely different from person to person.

“I honestly thought she just wanted to sell something, lol.

“Even after her advice I was too cheap to splurge, so my husband went back and bought me a lovely YSL fragrance for Christmas, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer! Even my child said she likes my perfume now.”
