Camerakits for smartphones will be one thing. They are designed to transform your phone into a compact camera-like device that is easier to use for photography to see what I am talking about, view my long term Xiaomi 15 Ultra ReviewIn which I unpack the Xiaomi photography kit.
Now Nubia has created his own view of the concept, with his Z70 series Retro Kit. The kit is compatible with the flagship of Nubia Z70 Ultra and Z70s Ultraphones, and of all the cameracits that I have seen for phones, I think it looks the part, even if it cashed in the Leica Eesthetics.
The new Z70s Ultra is already a retro-style smartphone (see below, without the kit), with a silver effect top and faux leather finish, available in classic black or antique brown. The retro kit absorbs things a notch.
I have not yet used the retro kit, but adding it should transform the handling of the phone into something that looks like a part of the Best compact cameras as the Ricoh GR IIIWith the appearance of a D-Lux 8.
Looking at the part
The Ultra Nubia Z70S has a triple camera unit, where the main camera is a little tighter than normal 35 mm lens, which is supplemented with a 2x telephone rings and an ultra-wide macro optics.
The phone is driven by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip, has a large 6.85-inch Amoled display and contains a large battery of 6,600 mAh. These are solid specifications; But it is the appearance of the phone that distinguishes him.
As I said, the ultra version of Z70S is already a retro style with retro style, but by adding the optional retro kit, you also get a compact control layout in the camera style.
There is the Leather style case with a grip that even has to make with one hand to be comfortable for photography, plus a tactile physical shutter that I would expect to give a nice reaction for taking photos (see below).
In addition to the shutterbooter, a control element is that looks like it offers different manual controls within reach – the equivalent dial in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit can be used for manual exposure compensation.
Finally, it seems that the case accepts lens filters over the camera unit. It is not clear which filters will be available, but further creative control options can be possible, depending on which filters you can buy.
The idea with these kits is that they can be added for times when you take many photos and videos and then be deleted when you use the phone for other things.
The Nubia Z70 series Retro -Kit looks like it could be one of the best examples to date -I hope to get hold of it soon for a good test.
